I have not, until recently, considered myself a poet, I have always dabbled in poetry, but working on some words and music shows with Canadian singer/songwriter Richard Knechtel sort of forced me to take it a little more seriously. Much to my surprise, I have developed some fairly decent stuff and felt when I wrote it that it would work with some type of backing music. So, I talked to my musical friends, Richard Knechtel and Justin Burgess, into helping me produce some spoken word pieces. We produced nine tracks in two sessions – sort of jamming with spoken word – and the results are here…..I think it’s really good work. I call it “rap ‘n’ roll” – rap for older folks. Listen to the free sample and hopefully download some of the rest…..
